Ratchet C-L couplings provide quick, safe connections on a wide range of applications: Both marine and dockside hoses, manifolds, loading arms, valves. Each corrosion-resistant coupling (depending on its diameter) contains from three to ten helical cams. Each ratchet cam is individually locked into place so that it cannot be loosened without a special wrench (see below). A typical 3-cam connection is completed in less than a minute.
Standard C-L coupling configurations include studded end, short spool piece and weld-neck. Studded end couplings are designed to fit on existing flanges, with studs projecting out the back of the C-L flange. Weld-neck couplings are designed for welding directly to a pipe, saving the cost of an additional mounting flange.
C-L Couplings for use in maritime vapor recovery operations feature a special lug pin to prevent a vapor collection line from being inadvertently connected to a cargo line. The special pin on the shipboard flange only fits into an opening found in the land end of the correct coupling. This configuration conforms to all ANSI standards. C-L vapor-control couplings are also colored bright yellow to further prevent misidentification.
MMC flange couplings are built to 150 psi or 300 psi ANSI standards and tested as leakproof to 1 1/2 times maximum working pressure (450 and 1110 psi, respectively). They also can be built to meet DIN and JIS standards and are approved by regulatory agencies around the world, including the U.S. Coast Guard, which has approved C-L ratchet couplings for inland and coastal waterways.
C-L flange couplings are classed as pressure vessel equipment that meet the requirements of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, and the Welding and Inspection Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards CL-flange couplings are available in sizes 4″ – 20″ custom sizes and configurations are also available to meet any need. A detailed C-L flange dimensional is available upon request.
This grouping of hydrometers are not ASTM – but are enormously popular in the same applications as the ASTM 21 through 39H hydrometers. All are 165mm in length, graduated in 0.2 API divisions, and made to the same demanding tolerances as ASTM hydrometers. Each hydrometer can be ordered with or without NIST Traceable Report of Test by adding or removing the "C" to the catalog number.
Approximately 190mm (7-1/2″) Length. Thermometer in body. Not ASTM designated, but made to similar specifications. Popular due to the smaller sample amount (approx. 6 ounces) ounces needed to obtain a reading. Made to the same demanding tolerances as ASTM hydrometers. Accuracy: +/- 1 scale division. Each hydrometer can be ordered with or without NIST Traceable Report of Test by adding or removing the "C" to the catalog number.
Eight hydrometers 500-231 thru 500-238 below, covering the range from .700 to 2.000 A thermometer range 0/230 °F is included. Supplied in a sturdy foam cushioned case with carrying handle. Each hydrometer can be ordered with or without NIST Traceable Report of Test by adding or removing the "C" to the catalog number.
.070° Specific Gravity ranges, 6″ length. Made to the same exacting standards as ASTM hydrometers, these units have found wide application due to their slightly longer, overlapping ranges. Accuracy to +/- .001 Specific Gravity. Each hydrometer can be ordered with or without NIST Traceable Report of Test by adding or removing the "C" to the catalog number.
.070° Specific Gravity ranges, 13″ length. Made to the same exacting standards as ASTM hydrometers, these units have found wide application due to their slightly longer, overlapping ranges. Accuracy to +/- .0005 Specific Gravity. Each hydrometer can be ordered with or without NIST Traceable Report of Test by adding or removing the "C" to the catalog number.
