These hydrometers are fabricated with a thermometer in the lower body for convenience to the user. For any particular API gravity range, three temperature ranges are available, coded as follows: L= Low 0 to 150F, M=Medium 30 to 180F, H=High 60 to 220F. The units below are designated ASTMs. Variations are available upon request.
Any of the below listed parts can be calibrated a three (3) test points specified by ASTM by adding “C” to the part number.
This grouping of hydrometers are not ASTM – but are enormously popular in the same applications as the ASTM 21 through 39H hydrometers. All are 165mm in length, graduated in 0.2 API divisions, and made to the same demanding tolerances as ASTM hydrometers. Each hydrometer can be ordered with or without NIST Traceable Report of Test by adding or removing the "C" to the catalog number.
Approximately 190mm (7-1/2″) Length. Thermometer in body. Not ASTM designated, but made to similar specifications. Popular due to the smaller sample amount (approx. 6 ounces) ounces needed to obtain a reading. Made to the same demanding tolerances as ASTM hydrometers. Accuracy: +/- 1 scale division. Eight hydrometers 500-231 thru 500-238 below, covering the range from .700 to 2.000 A thermometer range 0/230 °F is included. Supplied in a sturdy foam cushioned case with carrying handle. .070° Specific Gravity ranges, 6″ length. Made to the same exacting standards as ASTM hydrometers, these units have found wide application due to their slightly longer, overlapping ranges.
